Prince Andrew drops his Duke of York plates from new £115,000 Range Rover

It seems the humiliation for Prince Andrew is not going to come to an end any time soon.
The disgraced ex-Duke now appears to have given up his personal number plates – AY02 DOY and AY03 DOY.
He previously used them on his two green Range Rovers (the 02 one) and Bentley (the 03 one), but the plates are no longer in use, according to the DVLA.
Andrew has now bought a new automatic Range Rover for £115,000 with the humble number plate: KN74EFK.
What we can glean from that information is that it was first registered in Northampton some time between September 1, 2024 and February 28 this year.

While Andrew’s former plates are not available to buy, a similar plate with registration AY13 DOY is selling for £250, while AY15 DOY can be purchased for £399.
It is not known when the registrations were taken out of use, but the 65-year-old royal agreed to give up his titles after ongoing pressure due to his links with Jeffrey Epstein.

Of course, it’s not just his registration plates that he’s lost lately. He’s given up his titles, his reputation, maybe even his home.
He ditched the Duke of York and Knight of the Garter (KG), after facing pressure from Buckingham Palace, which is said to be frustrated by the non-stop scandals.
In another blow, it was revealed that Andrew hosted Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Harvey Weinstein at the Royal Lodge, where he has lived rent-free for over two decades.
He is thought to be preparing to move out of the residence following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir – one of the rumoured reasons for that decision is because of a threat from Prince William to remove titles from Andrew’s daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice.
