Severe delays on Tube line after incident at east London station

If you are travelling on the London Underground Victoria line today, brace for delays and disruption to your journey.
The Monday morning rush hour was off to a difficult start for commuters after severe delays on the entire Victoria line.
This is because of an ‘operational incident’ at Walthamstow Central, the latest TfL travel status shows.
This afternoon, it is still wreaking havoc on Tube services.
One frustrated passenger said the Victoria line ‘is on a mission to kill me this morning’ after being caught in the disruption.

TfL said: ‘Severe delays while we deal with an operational incident at Walthamstow Central.
‘Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, Southeastern, Weaver line, Suffragette line, Great Northern, Thameslink, Greater Anglia, and South Western Railway.’
The Bakerloo, Central and Jubilee lines reported minor delays after train cancellations and shortages this morning, which have since been resolved.
National Rail also issued a warning over the Elizabeth line, saying trains between east London, Paddington and Heathrow were delayed earlier.
This was caused by overrunning engineering works between Chadwell Heath and Goodmayes.
It said that trains between Gidea Park and London Liverpool Street and Paddington station, and services between Shenfield and Liverpool Street/Heathrow Terminal 5 were affected until about 8.30am.
