From stealing dogs to fatherhood: Whatever happened to TikTok villain Mizzy?

TikTok troublemaker Mizzy hit headlines in 2023 after carrying out a series of ‘pranks’ that went viral.

They included walking into people’s homes without permission, asking strangers if they wanted to die and stealing an elderly woman’s dog.

His antics drew public criticism and eventually landed him in jail. He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for violating a court order that banned him from filming people without consent for his channel.

Mizzy, whose real name is Bacari-Bronze O’Garro, is now out of prison and says he’s turned over a new leaf.

The father of two boys told social media followers he has been ‘working in construction this past year, keeping my head down’.

He warned other potential pranksters: ‘First off, I know first-hand how easy it is to get caught up in the hype of chasing views and trying to go viral on TikTok.

‘But there’s a line between entertainment and recklessness, and when you cross that line it’s not just a prank anymore – it can change people’s lives forever.’

On Father’s Day this year, he posted a newborn photo of his youngest son with the words: ‘One son changed my life. The second one made it real. Didn’t see that coming did you?’

He also reflected on his past mistakes in a post on X, and said he was determined to turn his life around.

‘The day I came out of jail I told myself I am never going back and that imma [sic] do whatever it takes to change my life around so I can do better for my child and the people around me,’ he posted.

‘So I went back to college, started looking for loads of jobs and signed up to a CSCS course.’

He added: ‘Now I’m trying to progress further in different aspects of my life and change any negative perceptions on me and of course I won’t be able to change everyone’s mind due to how I’ve portrayed myself in the past on social media, but I hopefully resonate with the people who understand.

‘Yes, I will be returning to socials and posting videos eventually but only in a way that will prevent me from being in risk of harm and anyone else.’

Mizzy had previously said his ‘pranks’ were down to his ‘impulsive’ nature, adding that he thought he would get online fame by going viral, but did not think of the consequences of his actions.

Antics have also included breaking into Alton Towers, riding an electric bike into a Sainsbury’s, and trying to leapfrog over an Orthodox Jewish man’s back.

He was interviewed by Piers Morgan on TalkTV where Mizzy claimed British laws weren’t strong enough to deter him.
