Teenager, 18, fighting for life after shooting outside Wembley Stadium


A gunman is on the loose after a teenager was shot outside a nightclub by Wembley Stadium.
The 18-year-old man is fighting for life in hospital after he was struck by bullets by a bar in Atlantic Way at 5.30am on Sunday.
Forensics officers have been examining the scene, sealing off huge areas surrounding the iconic stadium in north West London.
Chf Supt Tony Josephs said: ‘We recognise the shock and impact this incident will have on the community.
‘The investigation is in its very early stages and we are working at pace to establish the full circumstances.

‘There will be an increased police presence in the local area. We’d urge anyone who may know something about this incident, however small it may seem, to please get in touch and let us know.’
The South Way walkway to the stadium remains closed with a huge bloodstain, and clothing left at the scene.
Forensic officers can be seen examining a bottle of brandy found by the Crystal nightclub which can be hired out for private events.
A nightclub source confirmed to Metro the shooting happened outside the premises.
He said: ‘This was all happening outside. There was no event on at the time.
‘Police are reviewing the CCTV now so hopefully they will find out what happened.
‘It was in the early morning and we just got a call from the police. Everything is closed off still. It is very sad I hope this kid pulls through.’
Scotland Yard confirmed there have been no arrests made and enquiries are ongoing.
