Body found in search for missing mum Rachel Booth

A body has been found in the search for Rachel Booth, who was last seen buying a bottle of wine and milk from a petrol station on Saturday morning.
Cheshire Police announced the discovery in a lake in Oakmere this afternoon after two days of searches.
The 38-year-old mother-of-three was last seen at Sandiway Garage in Northwich, Cheshire, at 3.50am on July 19.
A police spokesperson said: ‘Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, [the body] is believed to be that of Rachel.
‘Her family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.’

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, they added.
Today, drivers claimed they saw Rachel ‘between 12.30 am and 1.15 am’ walking in Minshull towards Crewe, adding: ‘It seemed quite a random part of the road to be thumbing a lift. I wondered about a broken down car too, but didn’t spot one anywhere.’

Rachel’s mum, Chrissie, said she believed the two sightings were real, and wrote on Facebook that her daughter had been wearing a yellow coat.
Issac Carolan, 19, who works at the garage where Rachel was last seen, told The Sun: ‘I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning. She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away.’
He added: ‘But it didn’t seem weird, she didn’t seem disturbed or flustered.’
The shop refused to comment when Metro approached them.

The potential sighting came after police said underwater search teams are now assisting in searching for her.

Nearby water sports centre, Wild Shore Delamere, announced it would shut down to help the investigation on Sunday.
‘We are really sorry but there has been an incident in the area and the police have requested that we close the site to aid their investigation,’ they wrote.
