Paul Mosley who helped Mick Philpott kill six kids in Derby house fire dies in prison

A ‘sick and deluded’ man who helped his friend kill his six children has died in prison, it’s been reported.
Paul Mosley helped Mick Philpott set fire to his home in Allerton, Derby, which killed Duwayne Philpott, 13, his sister Jade, 10, and brothers John, nine, Jack, eight, Jessie, six and Jayden, five.
Mosley was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 17 years in prison, alongside Mick Philpott, who received a life sentence, and his wife Mairead, who also received 17 years.
She was released in 2020, after serving half of her sentence.
The Philpotts and Mosley conspired to make the house fire look like an arson attack by Mick’s mistress, Lisa Willis, who had recently moved out with her own children.

They hoped it would get them a bigger council house in Osmaston, Derby.

But after using petrol to start the fire, the Philpotts were unable to put out the blaze and all six of their children perished in the fire back in 2012.
The Philpotts initially received a huge outpouring of support after the fire, as they begged for the public to help find the culprit at a press conference.
Police then became suspicious of the pair and bugged their hotel room, which led to them discovering Mick had come up with the arson plot.
Mosley, 58, removed the petrol containers before the fire began.

After the trio were arrested, it emerged Philpott encouraged Mosley to have sex with Mairead while he first watched, then joined in.
This happened once while police were bugging their hotel room, The Sun reports.
Mosley had been released from prison in 2021, but was recalled in November 2023.
At the time, Andy Lyons, the partner of one of Mosley’s sisters, called him ‘sick, deluded, and callous beyond belief’.
